Ben Price

Ben spent eight years in the British Army Intelligence Corps and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, working alongside special forces and the Gurkhas. In Helmand Province, he sat across from a man who had agreed to die. A suicide bomber. That conversation took fifteen years to fully understand. The bomber had been brainwashed. Handed a story about who he was before he was old enough to question it, he lived into it without a second thought. Ben eventually realised he had done exactly the same thing. Not with ideology. With ambition. He had been handed a story about success built around money, status, and the appearance of having it together, and he had worn the mask without ever knowing he was wearing it. He built the business, the bank account, the image. And at 2am, with nothing left to distract him, he found himself asking the only question that actually mattered: is this it? Is this really what I want? Is there something wrong with me? By 35, he had lived through a marriage collapse, business failure, poor health, burnout, overwhelm and depression. He hid all of it the way a good soldier does: still performing, still functioning, completely hollow and numb underneath. He read the books, attended the events, hired the coaches. Spent well over £100,000 on personal development, understood every framework, and found that none of it touched the thing underneath. He had been brainwashed a second time, this time by the personal development industry, shamed into believing that he was the problem rather than the methodology. Then his son was born. He looked at that boy and knew he could not pass on the dread, the anxiety, the grumpiness and the sadness he was carrying. It was around this time that he met a real man. A man who spoke and held himself with genuine, unapologetic love, joy and authenticity. Under that man's guidance, Ben was initiated, genuinely, not in the soft performative sense the word gets used today. He returned to himself as the unapologetic, mature, fully masculine man and leader he had always had the capacity to be: the man his family, his business and his community had been waiting for. That experience shaped the Kingmaker Initiation, a year-long rite of passage for founders, leaders and fathers. Built for men who are exceptional by every external measure and exhausted by every internal one. Men who have built a life that looks right from the outside and feels hollow on the inside. Men who want to build a life they genuinely love. Ben helps ambitious, creative CEOs, founders and fathers win the war in their own minds and discover the truest, most authentic, loving and powerful version of themselves, in business and at home. He is a private advisor and the founder of a community of highly ambitious men committed to living with full presence and unapologetic authenticity. He is a partner and a father to two boys. He is here to live a life of love and joy, raise capable sons, and help other men do the same.
